Beyond Sight Project

The Beyond Sight Project is a collaborative initiative between NaRaYa, a prominent Thai fabric bag manufacturer, and the Thailand Association of the Blind. It aims to empower visually impaired individuals by teaching them the art of embroidery, providing them with valuable skills that enable them to pursue meaningful careers and achieve self-sustainability.
Recognizing that only 20% of visually impaired individuals in Thailand hold formal jobs, the project addresses the need for more inclusive employment opportunities. Through specialized training and support, participants create high-quality products that tell compelling stories and serve practical purposes.
The initiative not only generates sustainable income for artisans but also challenges societal perceptions, fostering a more inclusive environment for visually impaired individuals. As NaRaYa celebrates its 35th anniversary, the Beyond Sight Project exemplifies a commitment to empowering individuals and creating a brighter, more equitable future.
